Join RIPE-West Covina: Residential In-Season Produce Exchange of West Covina

15 Jul 2012 / Comments Off / in Newsletter/by jkubo

We are a group of organic backyard/frontyard kitchen gardeners.  If you grow your own fruits and vegetables, you’re bound to have too much of something at once, whether it’s a tree full of peaches all ripening this minute, or you got ambitious, planted 20 varieties of heirloom tomatoes that are coming in and your fridge is full!

This group is the place to give away your excess and to also trade for something you didn’t grow this year, or the crop just flopped. Sign up your e-mail and you will belong to a message board where you can offer your bounty or request something you need. We are about building local communities, growing a more sustainable future and enriching communities closer to home.

We meet on the 1st Sunday of each month at Cortez Park
5:30pm during summer months
4:30pm during winter months
